![]() ![]() A few German players in particular traveled 500 km to the Netherlands to share our passion together with one of the most impressively appropriate backdrops imaginable. We figured out that many of the bonus codes that were given out were activated by non-residents of Netherlands, since WoWS players, alongside naval history fans came to Den Helder from many different places. „With the utmost pleasure I’d like to mention the depth of devotion the event visitors showed us. Michał Jastrzębski, WoWS Community Manager: The catalyst for this opportunity to gather European World of Warships fans was the release of the first Dutch warship in the game–Tier IX premium destroyer HNLMS Friesland, also known as "onderzeebootjager" (literally translated as “submarine hunter”). Besides these high-profile promotions, we must also mention the Museum, veterans, influencers, players, volunteers, and the local community, all of whose overwhelming support was immeasurable.Īt this point I have to mention awesome video done by Military Aviation History, mastermilo82 ! The Netherlands Navy tweeted about the event as it happened, just as the Military Aviation History YouTube channel did. Moreover, we were highlighted by nine Dutch online media outlets, and we even made it to the front page of the NL Ministry of Defense’s website. We got support from all three of these government organizations independently. The event was held thanks to an established three-way collaboration of World of Warships with the Royal Netherlands Navy, the Dutch Ministry of Defense and the Netherlands Navy Museum ( Marinemuseum). On the other hand, the deep devotion some players appeared to have must have amazed our team as well. On September 14, in the Dutch town of Den Helder, the World of Warships team held a “game meets history” event that must have become a very special memory for the almost 1,400 of our players that joined us. ![]()
